Re: Which Gatling Gun is this?
yeah i tot that pic its a hollywood prop too.. but sure wish to know the real thing..
Thanks Saoirse.. that GE XM214 minigun sure is cool.. wonder if its sold to public haha |
Re: Which Gatling Gun is this?
probably a movie prop since the minigun would require far too much ammo to carry around. I saw somewhere where they added up the firing time from the movie Predator, where that one guy had a handheld minigun like that and he would have had to carry a couple tons of ammo.
Halo Mfg. is developing a 22LR version of the minigun so that it is feasible....i'll try to dig up info on that. |

It is a Hollywood prop-a fake. The GAU today is only manufactured by Dillon. I know them well, firstly, the pic does not show the 28VDC monster batteries required to make it run( you can turn it by hand-major cause of AD's)-and secondly the 440 lb can of ammo used to feed this thirsty beast is not pictured. But for you dreamers out there, some pics I took recently.Find the GAU in pic number 2- a lesson to be learned.
